Accounting Programs

Accounting and financial reporting informs decisions around the world...decisions about whether to start a new business...how to invest retirement funds...even who should be promoted!  We as accountants design this information, test it for weaknesses, and work to ensure that it communicates the relevant facts as reliably and transparently as possible.  As such, accounting professionals help keep U.S. and international capital markets safe and prosperous.

The College of William and Mary has a long history of excellence in the area of accounting. Our outstanding faculty members deliver innovative educational programs, publish in influential academic journals, and engage in meaningful professional activities. Our students become highly-valued members of the accounting and business community.

At the undergraduate level, the Mason School of Business offers an Accounting major, minor, and concentration. In addition, our Master of Accounting Program prepares students of varied backgrounds for accounting-related careers and professional certification.
